Water-cooled chillers are refrigeration equipment that dissipates heat through water circulation and are widely used in industrial cooling, commercial air conditioning, medical equipment, etc. Its core principle is to transfer heat to cooling water through the combination of refrigerant circulation system and water cooling system, and then discharge it through cooling tower or external water source.

Core components:

  1. Compressor: compresses the refrigerant, increasing its pressure and temperature.
  2. Condenser: The high-temperature and high-pressure refrigerant dissipates heat through cooling water here and becomes liquid.
  3. Evaporator: Liquid refrigerant evaporates and absorbs heat, cooling the chilled water.
  4. Expansion valve: controls the refrigerant flow and adjusts the evaporation pressure.
  5. Cooling water system: includes water pumps, cooling towers, pipes, etc., used to discharge heat from the condenser.

Working principle
Refrigeration cycle: The refrigerant circulates between the compressor, condenser, expansion valve, and evaporator to absorb and release heat.
Water circulation heat dissipation: After the cooling water absorbs the heat of the condenser, it dissipates heat through the cooling tower or external water source (such as river water) and then circulates back to the condenser.
